Assunta Integrated Social Services (ASSISS), PJ
1) Assunta Mobile Clinic
Mobile Clinic is set up to bring healthcare to marginalized or under-privileged societies. Services provided are basic primary care consisting of health consultations and monitoring of medical conditions such as diabetes or hypertension. Patients suspected of more serious problems will be referred to the closest hospital. |
2) Pastoral Care
Pastoral Care strives to provide emotional support to people of all races and religions. Unlike counselling where the counsellors offer suggestions to help you solve your problems, pastoral caregivers focus on listening to your problems and encourage you to find your own solutions. In a hospital setting where people need someone to talk to or someone who cares, our message is simple: We have time for you. |
3) Assunta Social Welfare Programme
The Social Welfare Committee was formed in 1998, followed by the Social Welfare Fund that helps to provide medical assistance to the underprivileged.
Free treatment is provided to residents of social organizations such as Rumah Ozanam, Rumah Juara and the Assunta Childrens’ Society to help them manage their costs of operations.

"We are women of different nations and cultures, choosing to live together in a fragmented world. Revealing the face of Christ by being a humanizing presence among people who suffer and are on the margins.Committing ourselves, with others to the care of creation and to the service of peace, justice and healing, where is most needed."
