FILODEP
FILODEP was founded in November 1988, its aims are to provide pastoral care and assistance to foreign domestic workers who come from around the region such as India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Sri Lanka and others. It also serves to provide a community so each can make new friends and find a community while being away from their homeland. Regardless of nationality or religion, all are welcome.
Filodep offers the following courses on Sundays for domestic work permit holders only :
- Art & Craft
- Baking
- Body & Wellness
- Dressmaking Basic & Advanced
- English Language Level 1
- Facial Therapy
- Guitar Basic & Advanced
- Hairdressing Level 1 & 2
- International Culinary
- Professional Makeup
Students at Filodep are also helped in their spiritual and personal formation through scriptures sharing, counselling and the celebration of the Eucharist for Catholics.
The FMM sisters are also available for counselling and to lend a listening ear.
