Our Lady of Fatima, Kota Bharu
In 1962, the FMM sisters were invited to Kota Bharu by the late Bishop of Penang Rt. Rev. Francis Chan to take care of the existing kindergarten and help in the parish. The first two pioneers came on 1st March 1962. Later, more sisters arrived to form a community. Besides the kindergarten and the parish, the sisters made home visits.
In 1966, a training centre was set up by the Parent Voluntary Association to answer to the needs of the less fortunate of other faiths. They were given sewing and cooking lessons.
A few sisters were involved in the running of a mobile clinic in Melor, Kota Bharu. In 1970, a hostel for female teachers was opened and which later became a hostel for outstation male students. Till this day, the sisters are still running this hostel (Villa Francis).

- Pre-school education
- Parish work
- Home visits
- Outreach to university students
- Counseling and spiritual direction
- Cathecism for the Bahasa group in different locations
